I'm able to write about a variety of subjects and love trekking through the minds and experiences of each person I interview. I'm guess I'm a sucker for a really good story. But I must admit, the local art scene is my favourite subject to write about, and I'm especially enthralled by the theater. I love a good show.
Until recently, when Calgary was named as one of the Cultural Capitals of Canada in 2012 by the federal government, arts and entertainment were not words closely associated with Calgary.
Yet the arts have always lived - and thrived - out here. And I love exposing that to the world.
